A Bid & Proposal Manager, in our world, takes ownership of the end-to-end bid process to help position Jacobs to win these world defining projects. You will be focused towards the Buildings and Master planning market and drive overall growth for this market in partnership with our Outside Sales Directors. Creating a team environment, being selective on the opportunities we target and following a bespoke process all contribute to being successful in the role . Autonomy is a given, but the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines is important to being successful in this environment.
The primary responsibility of the Bid & Proposal Manager is to support the disciplined application of our Sales Process:
- Develop Proposals: Create compelling, customer-focused proposals that highlight the company's strengths and align with client needs. Ensures compliance of our proposals developed in regional hubs throughout the region. This means checking to ensure that the deliverables meet the requirements as set out in the client brief.
- Coordinate Bid Preparation: Work with cross-functional teams, including sales, operations, legal and commercial teams , to gather necessary information and prepare comprehensive bid responses.
- Manage Bid Strategy: Lead bid strategy meetings, review competitive information, and develop winning strategies.
- Maintain Bid Library: Develop and maintain a repository of templates, standard language, and other resources to streamline the bid process.
- Track Outcomes: Monitor and report on bid outcomes, providing feedback to improve future bids.
- Conduct Post-Bid Reviews: Analyze bid performance and conduct debriefs to identify areas for improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Engineering from a recognized university.
- Quick comprehension and a critical, problem-solving thinker who connects the dots and comes up with insightful ideas to continually and sustainably win work and clients.
- In depth knowledge and understanding of the Buildings and Architecture market in the Middle East.
- Prior experience in as a Bid Manager position in an international engineering or architectural consulting firm is essential.
- Proven experience of delivering winning bids for large scale, complex projects.
- Organized and heightened attention to detail – able to effectively harness others’ strengths and expertise to deliver desired outcomes, working well with all types and levels of people.
- Excellent writing and editing skills with an eye towards sales messaging, themes, proposal aesthetics, quality, and content.
- Flexibility and capability to work multiple projects with tight deadlines.
