The Process Engineer supports the APAC Geographic Manager – (LNG to Power) and provides technical leadership to the section, namely low carbon fuels, within the Energy & Power (E&P) Performance Unit (PU). You will provide consistent leadership and role modelling of Jacobs’ core values, fostering an inclusive and diverse culture across the Section and the firm that embodies Jacobs’ Culture of Caring and prioritises the health and wellbeing of your people. You will set clear direction and provide a strong role model regarding technical capability, client focus and responsiveness and your strong client relationships will help to ensure we can identify and anticipate client needs. The Principal Process Engineer role is the primary role, and it is to be performed in conjunction with a secondary role. The secondary role consists of work winning, business development in key strategic areas and project leadership. The key elements of the role will include:
- Building technical capability and growing the portfolio. Domain expertise would be in liquefied natural gas (LNG) and hydrogen and its derivatives.
- Collaborate with other team members to deliver goals and targets of the Section and PU.
- Mentor and support the development of staff working in the LCF&ID team.
- Keep abreast of new methods and developments impacting Jacobs, track and contribute to industry developments, trends, both technical and market, to recommend changes as required.
- Collaborate with Jacobs’s client management team to identify emerging client opportunities.
- Work together with commercial, project management and technical leaders to create opportunities for Jacobs to plan, develop, deliver, and operate a range of projects in the LCF markets.
- Manage the delivery of study phases of key projects, which requires leading the interface with local and regional delivery, including GID delivery centres, to build and improve delivery within the sector.
- Provide technical guidance and oversight functions on large, strategic consulting projects.
- Develop and maintain positive key client relationships, act as a trusted advisor to a select group of Jacobs key clients across your sector.
- Apply industry experience; manage a portfolio of projects which have complex features with respect to their content and/or need for integration; interface positively with our Jacobs virtual team groups.
You will support your Performance Unit and Section to ensure it can thrive in a global setting, encouraging cross-geography relationships to maximise the benefit of global delivery to our clients and our people.
In taking ownership of client relationships, you will identify, secure, and oversee the delivery of key opportunities. In doing so you will be proactive in leveraging these relationships to provide ‘pull-through’ to the broader Jacobs business.
- You would be a process engineer with good experience in LNG.
