About the role:
Lead development of annual plan model and business plan for the Retention organization, working closely with leadership of Retention, Finance, and Analytics organizations
Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts of business performance and report on projections to executive leadership during regularly scheduled or ad hoc forums
Embed best practices and continuously improve forecasts of business performance (bookings, retention rate, and related KPIs)
Analyze metrics and forecasts to understand business performance and compare vs. expectations (bookings, retention rate, and related KPIs)
Prepare reports and presentations to highlight trends in business metrics and implications for future performance
Develop weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on business performance to support reporting cadence with executive leadership and the board of directors
Be a retention metric expert – know the ins and outs of the retention business metrics and what customer attributes and behaviors drive changes to the metrics
Perform analysis on key business indicators across various dimensions of the business (geography, channel, product, tenure) to estimate past or predictive impact of initiatives or external drivers
Identify and drive improvements to data collection and processing to support improved insights from business metrics and more accurate forecasts
Lead reporting automation to support business performance measurement
Manage a team of Analysts within your organization
About you:
7+ years of experience in an Analytical, Finance, or similar role; 3+ years people management
Passion for number crunching and logical problem-solving intellectual challenges
Management consulting experience highly preferred
Able to structure and solve exploratory problems with innovative approaches and creative solutions
Able to work independently and proactively, identifying issues and raising them to management, as well as offering potential solutions
Exhibit excellent analytical skills and ability to communicate complex concepts in simple terms through verbal and written communications and presentation materials
Expertise in Excel and proficiency with MS Office suite (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
Tableau mastery a huge plus
Python, SQL, or other programming experience is preferred
Bachelor degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or similar analytical field preferred; MBA or Masters degree preferred
Familiarity with global businesses, tech industries, software-as-a-service business models, B2C & B2B2C distribution channels is desirable
Effective decision-making skills; can choose a prompt course of action amongst options involving uncertainty or risk
Comfort with uncertainty, flexibility to changing priorities and timelines, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Able to work with different business units, across multiple time zones and countries, to communicate findings and practices company-wide
Self-starter with an inquisitive personality who constantly enjoy trying new things
Strong attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy in analysis and reporting
Team player who develops strong relationships, is able to influence stakeholders, and drive cross-functional alignment to accomplish strategic objectives
