- To be degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline
- Chartered Engineer or other relevant professional qualification eg CIHT or TPP
- A creative, solution-oriented individual with a strong technical background in traffic engineering, urban design, active travel or complete streets
- In depth knowledge of design standards (DMURS, National Cycle Manual) and Capital Works Framework and the NTA PAGs.
- Experience in delivery of active travel design, through all design stages from Concept , Preliminary and Detailed Design.
- Knowledge / understanding of LinSig, Junctions and VISSIM microsimulation software, data requirements and the interpretation and presentation of modelling results
- Excellent report writing, presentations and workshop delivery skills, with the ability to draw on a variety of tools to communicate complex issues concisely and effectively
- Flexibility to manage your workload, support and mentor colleagues and assist with new business opportunities and be aware of emerging trends and the future evolution of the industry
- Experience of project and client management, covering programme, resources, finance and quality
- Promote thought leadership, knowledge sharing and staff training
