What You'll Do

1 . Develop and Maintain ETL Pipelines – Build and manage ETL pipelines, breaking down complex workflows into modular, maintainable, reusable, and testable components to improve scalability and efficiency.

2 . Automate and Optimize Workflows – Design and implement scheduled jobs and workflows to support new initiatives, ensuring seamless automation and reliability.

3 . Standardize and Enhance Data Infrastructure – Define and adopt standardized data sources to improve the reliability, accuracy, and auditability of internal processes, enabling data-driven decision-making.

4 . Ensure Data Quality and Observability – Monitor data pipelines, establish alerting standards, and enhance the explainability of computed results to maintain high system integrity.

5 . Architect Scalable Solutions – Solve complex engineering problems with elegant and efficient software design, leveraging strong fundamentals in system architecture.

7 . Drive Operational Excellence – Improve system observability, monitoring, and control mechanisms, enhancing overall system health and optimizing the on-call experience.

What You'll Need

1 . 4+ years of software engineering experience with Data Engineering expertise and exposure to backend development.

2 . Strong understanding of SQL, Kafka and databases (including Spark, Hive, SQL, No-SQL etc)

3 . Expertise in data querying languages (Spark SQL, Presto etc.), designing/building ETL data pipelines.

4 . Expertise in one or more object oriented programming languages (e.g. Golang, Java, Python).

5 . Experience with production-quality services, deployment, monitoring, and reliability.

6 . Ability to decompose complex problems into clean, extensible, performant services and systems.

7 . Self-driven to identify opportunities to make things better and efficient.

Bonus points

1 . Experience in building data-driven developer productivity tooling.

2 . Familiarity with monitoring and logging frameworks (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).

3 . Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on automation and efficiency.
