Procurement Buyer I

The BUYER 1 will provide support for tactical day to day Supply Chain activities. The base coverage will include purchasing support and backup for logistics activities.

Key Responsibilities

Purchase materials, components, and services as required based on approved requisitions, replenishment schemes, MRP, or Scheduling inputs.

Obtain quotes from supply base. Minimum 2 quotes are required.

Negotiate with supply base for best price and delivery.

Determine material replenishment plans for assigned Inventory part numbers based on consumption rate and inventory targets.

Provide backup for warehouse/logistics activities.

Provide input for opportunities to improve existing processes / workflows

Respond to change productively and handle other duties as required.

Education & Experience

B.A. or B.S. degree is desired

- 2+ years purchasing experience is desired

Knowledge & Skills

Purchasing transactional level (issue purchase orders)

Negotiating price and delivery with suppliers

Request for quotes with supply base

Warehouse transactions (receiving and shipping)

ERP experience. Moderate level minimum

Ability to multi-task

Quick learner

Strong communication skills.

Ability to read, speak, and write in English required

- Italian language is a must
