Scope, design, develop, test, and present proof of concept environments by defining the customer’s technical business needs, select an appropriate technology to resolve the customer’s need, define the success criteria and scope the proof of concept, installing and configuring the proposed technology to meet customer requirements.

*Telecommuting role to be performed anywhere in the U.S.

What you will do

• Provide technical credibility to the Red Hat Sales team by delivering technical presentations and performing proofs of concept.

• Support customer meetings through presentations by delivering roadmap presentations updating customers on new features, delivering persuasive presentations on technologies that customers do not already use, and presenting custom presentations explaining how Red Hat technologies solve unique business problems.

• Identify appropriate technologies to solve customer problems, perform discovery sessions to evaluate a customer’s current environment, and work with lines of business to identify business problems that can be solved with Red Hat technologies and services.

• Coach customers on using Red Hat’s technologies, perform informal mentoring of customers, escalate support issues, and perform routine sync calls with customers.

• Contribute internally and externally through participation in various knowledge-sharing forums, workshops and reference architectures. P

• rovide feedback to Product Management and Engineering teams on the direction of the offering and customer applicability of features.

• Assist sales teams in answering technical questions, including requests for proposal (RFPs) or requests for information (RFIs).

The salary range for this position is $121,420 - $233,890/ year. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

What you will bring

• Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field and four (4) years of experience in the job offered or related role.

• Must have four (4) years of experience with: agile or DevOps frameworks; containers and container management tools; VMware vSphere, Xen, KVM, Docker, IBM PowerVM, or Microsoft Hyper-V virtualization infrastructure; enterprise automation technologies; containers and microservices cloud computing; and developing technical presentations and delivering them to a live audience.

• Domestic travel required up to 50% of the time to conferences, client sites, and internal meetings. Travel expenses covered by Red Hat, Inc.
