What to Expect

As a Used Car Finance Operations Specialist for Tesla, you will shape and deliver strategies to market previously owned Tesla products and manage our vehicle trade-in business in EMEA. You work both on Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) side. Your role involves transaction posting for all wholesaled Tesla and non-Tesla cars, daily cash collection and reconciliation, ownership of document reporting and process flow, and providing weekly accounts receivable updates to upper management. You will track and resolve outstanding payment issues and generate timely weekly aging reports. Additionally, you will manage correct and timely payments for acquired cars and track received vehicles against payments.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage large AR collections with multiple vendors across EMEA, ensuring accurate weekly aging reports and timely payment processing
  • Perform daily follow-ups on aging AR items and handle wholesale billing and vendor communications
  • Audit trade-in transactions, escalate issues, and align teams on errors and best practices to expedite fund collection
  • Oversee payments for acquired used cars, including invoice checks, payment requests, tracking, and vehicle release coordination
  • Prepare and maintain reports and dashboards, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility
  • Address accounting, tax, and refund team requests by proposing and implementing solutions for repetitive issues
  • Identify and implement process adjustments to enhance efficiency and improve collection outcomes
What You’ll Bring
  • Experience in accounts receivable, preferably within the automotive industry, with exposure to the used car business as an asset, and in operations, analytics, or project management
  • Degree in Accounting or Finance, with strong knowledge of general accounting principles or comparable work experience
  • Superior attention to detail and advanced proficiency in Excel, ensuring accuracy under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Analytical skills to leverage data for decision-making, coupled with adaptability to frequent changes and flexible schedules
  • Effective communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving
