What You’ll Be Doing:
- Reading diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
- Installing stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment according to layout plans using hand and power tools.
- Operating hoisting and lifting devices to position machinery and parts during the installation, setup, and repair of machinery.
- Inspecting and examining machinery and equipment to detect irregularities and malfunctions.
- Adjusting machinery and repairing or replacing defective parts.
- Operating machine tools, such as lathes and grinders, to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or setup of machinery.
- Cleaning, lubricating, and performing other routine maintenance work on machinery.
- Constructing foundations for machinery.
- Assembling machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment.
- Training new hires and/or apprentices on the intricacies of the job.
- Ensuring that the requirements of the Quality Management System and Environmental Health and Safety Systems are met.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- College degree or Trade School Certification.
- Three to five years of experience.
- Strong background in hydraulics and pneumatics as well as some welding experience.
- Proficiency in English (both spoken and written).
- Proficiency in Math.
Work Environment (including Physical Demands):
- Work indoors; environment can be noisy and involve different temperatures.
- Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks, such as heavy lifting, climbing ladders, crawling, etc.
- Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs.
- Work shifts may include days, afternoons, nights, or continental.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
- Ability to work overtime when required/requested.
