RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Define and execute the product strategy for Qualcomm Sensing Hub, ensuring alignment with the company’s vision and market needs.

  • Drive Qualcomm’s software development process, liaise across engineering and teams, create Feature Requests and own Software products; take the platform through any necessary stage-gate processes

  • Manage the entire product lifecycle from planning to tactical activities.

  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to translate product strategy into detailed requirements.

  • Work closely with sales and marketing teams to define product positioning and go-to-market strategies.

  • Engage with customers and partners to gather feedback and incorporate it into product improvement.

  • Collaborate with key partners and stakeholders to create buy-in for the product vision and roadmap.

  • Develop Market Requirements for sensors software products across business units – handsets, compute, VR/AR, wearables, IoT.

  • Develop and maintain the sensors software roadmap for development and delivery within Qualcomm platforms.

  • Work with ecosystem partners, including sensors vendors and OS partners.

  • Provide support for sensors software and sensors fusion algorithms across various business units.

  • Ensure that Qualcomm platforms have clear sensors software requirements by coordinating with OEMs/customers, HLOS partners, Sales/Marketing, Customer Engineering and Product Management teams.

  • Contribute to the sensors technology, product and platform strategy by supporting the various business units within Qualcomm.

  • Coordinate competitive analysis of sensors technologies across all platforms.

  • Drive the overall communication strategy and development of marketing collateral including documentation for internal use, customer support and for external marketing of sensors technologies.

  • Coordinate product launch plans to launch sensors features, products and platforms including training, documentation, trade shows, and sales guide.

  • Participates in strategic planning within own area affecting immediate operations.

This includes the ability to function as a central resource with design, process, manufacturing, quality, test, marketing, and distribution as the product(s) and/or product line(s) move through their lifecycle.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Humanities, or related field.

• 4+ years of Product Management or related work experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • MBA or equivalent.

  • 7+ years of product management or related work experience.

  • 5+ years as sensors product manager or in a business role.

  • 2+ years negotiating 3rd party business agreements.

  • Deep understanding of sensor vendor market, supply chain

  • Customer facing experience with presenting technology overviews, roadmaps and managing customer requirements.

  • Strong critical thinking to produce innovative technologies and use-cases leading to successful feature and product launches.

  • Working familiarity with Snapdragon chipset architecture and development.

  • Experience working with or developing embedded products for smartphones, compute, etc.

Pay range:

$152,000.00 - $228,000.00
