Perform traffic and safety analyses, as well as travel and transit demand modeling for transportation projects on behalf of agencies including various state Departments of Transportation, and other state, county, and municipal agencies. This position involves the following: Performing field reviews of traffic conditions and existing conditions to inform traffic analysis and identify traffic and safety deficiencies. Collecting and compiling traffic and otherdata. Performing peer reviews of planning and design documents on behalf of the jurisdictional agencies. Performing traffic operational analysis using numerous software packages including empirical and sophisticated microsimulation tools. Preparing Traffic Signal Warrant Studies. Preparing and reviewing Site Impact Studies. Developing horizon year traffic and transit ridership forecasts for planned transportation projects. Performing crash data analysis and predictive safety analysis to evaluate historical trends and safety issues, identify appropriate countermeasures, and predict crash frequencies for transportation projects. Interpreting analysis results to identify appropriate transportation strategies and improvements. Attendance and assistance in facilitating public and community outreach meetings. Responding to public inquires in a professional and timely manner on behalf of the agencies. Providing assistance with managing project schedules.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or closely related field, and 4 years of work experience in job offered or related occupation in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering.
SPECIFIC SKILLS: Expertise/ knowledge of:
- Performing peer reviews of planning and design documents on behalf of the jurisdictional agencies.
- Reviewing transportation engineering studies/plans.
- Attendance and assistance in facilitating meetings on behalf of the agencies.

Familiarity with government and municipal agencies’ policies and procedures, including, but not limited to Florida Department of Transportation and Metropolitan Planning Organizations.
