JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Sr Data Program Management Specialist here at Honeywell, you will play a critical role in overseeing and managing data programs and initiatives across the organization. You will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of data projects, driving data governance, and optimizing data utilization. Your expertise in data management and program management will be instrumental in driving operational excellence and innovation in data-driven decision-making- Experience in Informatica is needed. You will report directly to our Data Program Manager and you'll work out of our Charlotte, NC or Atlanta, GA location on a hybrid work schedule. In this role, you will impact the organization by driving the strategic implementation of data programs, ensuring data quality and integrity, and enabling data-driven decision-making across the company.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Evaluate and enhance existing data migration processes across various teams, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and organizational goals.
  • Guide and oversee large-scale data migration projects, including planning, execution, and post-migration validation.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including data architects, business analysts, and IT professionals, to define migration requirements and strategies.
  • Utilize Gen AI/AI/Data Science techniques to develop innovative solutions that accelerate data migration processes and improve efficiency.
  • Develop detailed data migration plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
  • Standardize data requirements, templates for migration, extraction strategies, testing and measuring productivity through the current Gen AI capabilities, and work with development teams to improve the tools.
  • Evaluate opportunities for the application of Data Science or Gen AI or AI for data cleansing and data transformation, ensuring data quality and accuracy.
  • Establish and enforce data quality standards and best practices throughout the data migration process.
  • Regularly update stakeholders on migration progress, demand, and milestones.
  • Provide training and facilitate end-users on new systems and processes implemented during the data migration.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the data migration framework.
  • Ensure technical teams are reusing the capabilities built and establish governance to follow the defined standards.
  • Align timelines across technical towers to ensure seamless integration and migration.


U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Must be a US citizen due to contractual requirements

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 10+ years of experience in data management, with a focus on data migration and data warehousing.
  • Proven track record of successfully guiding large-scale data migration projects.
  • Strong insight into ETL processes, data modeling, and database design.
  • Proficient in SQL and experienced in working with data migration tools (e.g., HVR, ADF, Informatica , Talend, SSIS).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to establish and enforce data quality standards and best practices.
  • Strong communication and people-oriented skills to effectively work with cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to drive projects to completion.
  • Experience in aligning timelines across technical towers for seamless integration.

WE VALUE

  • Bachelors or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Experience with data migration processes in mergers and acquisitions.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and their integration with data migration solutions.
  • Knowledge of data privacy and security regulations.
