Manufacturing engineer responsible for the Diagnostic Imaging (DI) Repair Process at the Repair Operation Center in Oak Creek, WI. This role is responsible for process Manufacturing engineer responsible for the DI Repair Process at the Repair Operation Center in Oak Creek, WI. This role is responsible for process changes and improvements along with driving safety and quality improvements and reducing repair costs. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures.
Role Responsibilities
  • Define and control production process including tooling and equipment. Validate equipment, tooling, and production process changes and modifications. Manage all preventative maintenance activities.

  • Support and troubleshoot test equipment issues.

  • Drive product quality improvements by root causing field failure data, developing sustainable solutions, and successfully implementing improvement in the operation.

  • Lead all compliance activities for repair operations and drive any corrective and preventive actions when needed in the repair operations.

  • Support Environmental, Health, and Safety processes.

  • Drive lean improvements to eliminate waste and implement standard work for all operations.

  • Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline. Uses prior experience/education and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy.

  • Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 2 years electrical engineering experience or Associates degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience in electrical engineering.
Desired Characteristics
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.

  • Established project management skills. (Ability to document, plan, and execute qualification plans and reports)

  • Understanding of the Quality Management System.

  • Ability to apply Lean & Six Sigma manufacturing skills for continuous process improvements.
