Uber Taiwan—a key growth market for Uber—operates as a regulated Third-Party Payment Service Provider (TPPSP) and plays two essential roles in the payment ecosystem:
- Safeguarding the funds earned by fleet partners and merchant partners (e.g., restaurants) using Uber’s platforms in Taiwan; and
- Disbursing those funds to the respective parties in a timely and secure manner.
In response to evolving regulatory expectations and the need for a dedicated compliance infrastructure, Uber Taiwan is establishing a new payments entity, Uber Payments Taiwan (UPT). As the Operations Lead for UPT, you will play a pivotal role in setting up and overseeing the implementation of a robust Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) framework, ensuring adherence to local regulatory requirements for TPPSPs, and, where applicable, compliance with Electronic Payment Institution (EPI) regulations.
