As a Technical Program Manager II on the Azure One Fleet Platform (OFP) team, you will lead cross-functional workstreams across multiple product lines to enhance launch quality, uphold customer commitments, and improve service health for all capacity expansion initiatives. You will define and track semester Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and success metrics, leveraging systemic data and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor progress and ensure operational readiness.


Your role will involve close collaboration with engineering, operations, and customer-facing teams across Azure and within C+AI organization to address complex infra and service health and quality challenges. You’ll communicate program status, risks, and mitigation plans effectively across stakeholders. Additionally, you will drive continuous improvement in infrastructure automation, author technical specifications for complex business problems requiring engineering alignment and establish or support processes that reduce manual toil. You’ll also play a key role in incident management to ensure compliance, operational excellence, and timely launch readiness of new Azure Clouds, Regions, and Availability Zones.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 2+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 1+ year(s) of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • 1+ year(s) of proficiency in writing complex SQL queries and using data to drive prioritization and track progress.
  • 1+ year(s) of demonstrated ability managing multiple concurrent projects.
  • 1+ year(s) of translating customer requirements and scenarios into product features, including authoring software specifications with a focus on user experience.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
    • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects
  • 1+ year(s) of experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos).
  • 1+ year(s) of experience experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • 1+ year(s) of proficiency with data analytics and related technologies, including Kusto (Azure Data Explorer), Structured Query Language (SQL), Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) technologies, Machine Learning (ML), and Power Business Intelligence (Power BI).
  • 1+ year(s) of demonstrated ability leading through ambiguity while partnering across organizations.

Responsibilities

  • You will coordinate and ensure alignment across product and operations teams
  • You will will help deliver on roadmaps, track project schedules, and communicate status to stakeholders, with minimal supervision.
  • You will analyze and drive continuous improvement of customer support and incident management experiences by creating and validating use cases and partnering with others to define and collect metrics.
  • You will partner with our engineering teams in all phases of development as a subject matter expert focusing on privacy, compliance and customer support.
