As a Senior Quantitative User Researcher, you will be working closely with Digital Product Directors, UX Design Directors and your fellow qualitative user researchers to guide every step of the product development process through consumer insights. Our scope runs from generative and explorative research to evaluative research. We’re looking for people who feel at home in a fast-paced product environment and up for the challenge of becoming a subject matter expert in user research, including communicating research results and campaigning for user centricity across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end execution of primarily large-scale quantitative user research projects, which includes planning, research design, fieldwork, data analysis, reporting and embedding into the organization.
- Become a thought partner for senior stakeholders: UX Design managers, Product Owners etc., to advise on research roadmaps, methodologies, and collaboration model, and can identify and connect different stakeholders to approach a topic holistically.
- Be a research partner for the qualitative research team members on quantitative research approaches, collaborating closely to integrate quantitative insights with qualitative findings. Guide and support qualitative researchers in understanding and applying quantitative methods, ensuring robust data triangulation and comprehensive analysis.
- Proactively finds opportunities to improve adidas’ product solutions iteratively to make them more valuable to our users.
- Extract design, digital and ecommerce trends and apply the findings to experience design concepts to optimize value for consumers and the company.
- Communicate research findings to audiences from various seniority levels through written reports, verbal presentations and workshop facilitation.
- Occasionally conducting qualitative research (as part of mixed methods projects).
- Develop, implement, and uphold rigorous standards for research set-ups to guarantee the integrity, reliability, and validity of the team’s research activities.
- Mentor junior (quantitative) researchers from the User research team
You’re a good fit for the role if:
- +6 years of experience as a user researcher (or alike), with a broad research toolkit and a strong awareness of the merits and weaknesses of different approaches.
- Experience leading hands-on, primary quantitative research projects, including survey writing and scale development, and data analysis.
- In-depth understanding of statistics and knowledge of R or Python for data analysis.
- You have an advanced degree (MA/MSc/PhD or equivalent) in social sciences or a related field.
- Worked in a multidisciplinary team environment before, where you made a demonstrable impact on the direction of the product or the experience.
- Value collaboration and are proactive in engaging stakeholders to ensure an impactful execution and delivery of your research projects.
- Strong communicator and facilitator. You’re able to tell a story so your audience will want to listen to and zoom into detail when needed to help solutions come to life.
