Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, analysis, selection and modification of enterprise systems, application software, installation of network hardware/software and database management. Provides direction for the effort required to protect the company’s data, tools and information systems. Ensures infrastructure architecture standards maximize efficiency and support platform compatibility. Usually requires subject matter knowledge of user group for practical application of system characteristics. Coordinates delivery of services to user groups and ensures IT service is uninterrupted. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 8+ years of IT-related work experience with a Bachelor's degree.

10+ years of IT-related work experience without a Bachelor’s degree.

• 5+ years of supervisory or leadership experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a product owner, with a focus on AI/ML technologies.

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP and their AI/ML related services.

  • Strong understanding of data management, data governance and data engineering principles.

  • Demonstrated skill in stakeholder management, including the ability to influence and negotiate with senior leaders and external partners

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage comprehensive GenAI projects.

  • Advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or related field.

  • Product Owner or Service Management certification.

  • Experience with Generative AI technologies and search algorithms.

  • Deep understanding of the industry landscape, market trends and competitive dynamics of GenAI.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with various business leads to understand strategic goals, identify GenAI opportunities, and prioritize efforts according to business impact and value.

  • Act as a product owner for Generative AI projects and implementations, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs.

  • Lead and inspire cross-functional teams to define product vision, roadmaps, and growth opportunities for AI-driven services.

  • Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of AI services, from ideation to deployment and continuous improvement.

  • Ensure the delivery of robust, scalable, and ethical AI solutions that adhere to industry standards and company policies.

  • Drive innovation by staying abreast of the latest AI research and technologies in this quickly evolving space

  • Develop and maintain an AI roadmap, aligning with the company's strategic goals and industry trends.

  • Effectively communicate complex AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders, facilitating informed decision-making across the organization.

  • Motivates direct team to accept change and adapt priorities in order to meet changing demands.

  • Communicates performance expectations and monitors and evaluates performance of members and managers of team to ensure plans are met.

  • Evaluates existing IT resources to determine coverage of the necessary skills and knowledge required to meet ongoing business demands.

  • Identifies and promotes a unifying vision throughout the team with associated day-to-day goals and creates a climate in which people want to contribute.

  • Manages the performance of team members and managers by meeting regularly with each member to discuss current and future state of key projects, identifies developmental opportunities, and evaluates performance based on key metrics.

  • Allocates workload (which includes key decisions, project management, and resource allocation) among team members and managers by taking into consideration employee availability, skill set, and current workload when making assignments.

  • Communicates plans, roadmaps, strategies, initiatives, and directions across IT domains, verbally and in writing.

  • Provides guidance and input into the management of requirements and/or solutions throughout key stages of the project or initiative.

  • Advises and teaches experienced members and managers of the team on how to achieve effective job performance.

  • Networks with colleagues within domain to gain insight, ideas, and connections.

  • Supports IT teams by facilitating the implementation and maintenance of standardized tools, templates, and processes

Level of Responsibility:

  • Working independently with little supervision.

  • Providing supervision to other supervisors/managers who are direct reports.

  • Making decisions that are significant in impact, influencing overall program or project success, finances, and/or the ability to meet objectives; Errors are not readily apparent due to the complexity of work process/product or time between decisions and results; Errors typically result in significant expenditure of time, resources, and funds to correct.

  • Using verbal and written communication skills to convey complex and/or detailed information to multiple individuals/audiences with differing knowledge levels. May require strong negotiation and influence, communication to large groups or high-level constituents.

  • Some financial accountability (e.g., manages a small budget, has input into P&L).

  • Having a great degree of influence over key organizational decisions (e.g., is making or directly making key decisions that have substantial impact on the organization).

  • Completing tasks that require multiple steps that can be performed in various orders; tasks require simultaneously executing multiple cognitive abilities and maintaining information in short or long-term memory.

  • Using deductive and inductive problem solving is required; multiple approaches may be taken/necessary to solve the problem; often information is missing or incomplete; intermediate data analysis/interpretation skills may be required.

  • Exercising substantial creativity is needed to innovate new processes, procedures, or work products within guidelines or to achieve established objectives.

Pay range:

$160,000.00 - $240,000.00
