As a member of our Learning Design Team, a Senior Associate learning designer will be responsible for designing memorable learning experiences for Capital One associates that achieve business objectives and drive performance. You will partner with business leaders and SMEs to design, develop, implement, scale, and continuously improve learning materials on a number of topics, including Compliance.
You will collaborate with other Instructional Designers on the team and beyond to streamline processes, share best practices, stay up to date on emerging learning trends, and increase the effectiveness of learning solutions by identifying and recommending formats and modalities that create an optimal learning experience.

Key responsibilities
Deliver high quality, memorable learning experiences for Capital One associates primarily focused on compliance and policy requirements and other role-required learning
Consult with Compliance Governance and other line of business partners and learning team members on training needs, solution design recommendations, and delivery expectations
Increase the effectiveness of learning solutions by identifying and recommending format/modalities that create an optimal learning experience and demonstrate an understanding of adult learning principles
Collaborate with team members on learning and development best practices as a means to ensure superior deliverables on all projects and initiatives
Assume personal responsibility for multiple projects and follow-through to completion with minimal need for direct supervision
Engage with content owners to enable clarity of goal; conduct on-going reviews to ensure outcome is on track to meet strict compliance deadlines
Create a feeling of inclusion establishing a comfortable learning environment while delivering inclusive learning
Manage multiple learning initiatives simultaneously
Have strong project management skills and strong verbal/written communication skills
Assist Learning Manager by identifying issues, diagnosing problems, generating alternative solutions, and analyzing opportunities and risks
Demonstrate expertise with ADDIE, SAM, and Agile training development models

Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent certification
At least 2 years of experience in Instructional Design
At least 2 years experience with the Articulate 360 suite of learning development products
Preferred Qualifications:
At least 1 year of experience in project management
Advanced Google Suite skills
Intermediate experience working with graphics tools including Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator or similar
Intermediate experience with video editing tools (Adobe Premiere, Camtasia, or similar)
