Job DescriptionOperations Leader - Service Tools & Test Equipment
- Role Summary/Purpose
- This role drives Services cost productivity and operations excellence through projects, proactive and reactive actions, and influencing leadership across US Service. Responsible for leading all aspects of the US service tools program. Deliver outcomes to our field teams and customers related to tool availability, procurement, calibration & repair. Own the overall tool supply chain including supplier and user relationships.
- Essential Responsibilities
- Drive improvement strategies and operational execution for US/CAN Tools and Test Equipment.
- Manage relationships with tool calibration vendors.
- Manage Tools Team for field processes, purchases, and logistics.
- Support peers in other poles when needed; to meet critical tool needs.
- Coordinate with product teams for tool definition and testing when required.
- Communication is key! Communicate process changes, recommendations, and other tool-specific communication thru email, personal phone calls, or by joining field calls as needed.
- Transact tool purchases for both P&E and zone-funded expense tools.
- Drive VCP for tool purchases, logistics, and repair/calibration spend.
- Responsible for tools compliance (calibration cycles, out-of-tolerance CAPA, etc).
- Qualifications / Requirements
- Associates Degree
- Microsoft Suite Excellence: PowerPoint, Excel, Word
- Excellent influencing, communications, and negotiating skills
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Demonstrated ability to execute in an environment of competing priorities
- Demonstrated project management skills.
- 2 years service, operations, or sourcing experience
- Team-centric, service-minded, committed, passionate, and inquisitive
- Integrity and honesty
- Ability to work at all levels of an organization to coordinate project-based activities
- Desired Characteristics
- Understanding of the GE Healthcare US/CAN Service business
- BS, BA or equivalent experience
- Systems Excellence: GLPROD, Siebel
- Demonstrated accountable leadership and influencing skills
- 5 years service, operations, or sourcing experience
- Logistics experience
