. As an IT Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain valuable hands-on experience in a professional IT environment for a leading fraud prevention & cybersecurity organization. You will work closely with our IT team to provide technical support, assist with system administration tasks, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and contribute to various IT projects. This internship is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about technology and eager to kickstart their career in the IT field.
What you’ll be doing:
- Provide basic helpdesk support, including troubleshooting for Mac and Windows systems
- Log and track service requests using an internal ticketing system, and maintain history records and related problem documentation
- Handle problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution and follow-up for routine end user problems and escalate more complex problems to supervisor or technical staff
- Set up and configure desktops and laptops according to the company's standard application build
- Assist with systems auditing
- Create and update internal IT documentation
- Assist with research and implementation of IT projects
- Participate in meetings and training sessions
What you’ll need:
- College degree or trade school certification (technical field highly preferred) with GPA of 3.0 or higher - if you are currently pursuing one or both, that works too
- Strong oral and written communications skills, and the ability to work both independently and with others
- Solid organization and planning skills, with the ability to demonstrate effective project coordination, facilitation, and implementation
- Deductive reasoning skills - must be able to analyze and synthesize information for problem solving
- Experience using Mac and Windows systems
- Solid understanding of core operating system technologies, including installation and configuration, hardware components and their functions, and major desktop components and interfaces and their functions
- Proficiency using Excel and/or Google Sheets for data auditing and analysis
- Strong self-motivation and an eagerness to learn new technology
It'd be cool if you also had:
- Related desktop support experience
- Experience with G-Suite, Microsoft Office 365, Network topology and methodology, and MDM technology

Pay Range: $20 per hour (6 month contract with expected ~24 hours per week)
