Job Description

Working as part of our Etch Engineering, the primary responsibilities of this role will be to develop plasma etch RF subassemblies.

This will involve working on a number of different process module types, as well as supporting hardware testing & development. Additional responsibilities will include customer technical support, writing technical reports for both internal and external use, generating IP submissions and supporting other business units as required!

This position will involve some level of international travel (global conditions permitting) and occasional shift work is expected.

Your day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Design and construction of prototype electronics and RF h/w including RF plasma delivery systems generators and matching units, RF MU circuitry, networks, transformers, filters, RF electrode circuitry, isolation and filter circuits DC bias handling, PCB design package.
  • Plasma modelling including Electromagnetic modelling of Radio Frequency coupling
  • EMC design and mitigation in RF system emissions
  • Operation RF test equipment oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, network analysers, RF diagnostic probes.
  • Originate reports, manuals and training documentation
  • Keep up to speed on industry and competitors RF system approaches
  • Maintainelectrical/electroniclaboratory
  • Attend conferences
  • Provide advice and help with field problem solving including field trips at customer sites
  • Operate KLA products
  • Enforce the H & S & environmental policy

Qualifications

Applicants will ideally be educated to Master of First Degree inelectrical/electronicengineering or physics.

  • An understanding of system electronics, control and instrumentation
  • RF and Microwaves basics
  • Awareness of semiconductor devices
  • Good analytical and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work both autonomously and with a small team
  • Good use of Microsoft office, particularly Excel and power point
