Description
You will lead the end-to-end design, development, and validation of spectral sensing technology into Apple’s portfolio of products. In this role, you will work collaboratively with a talented multifunctional team to generate and validate design concepts, and as the mechanical specialist you will be responsible for engineering analysis and documentation for your piece of the project.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience designing for a production environment.
  • Familiarity with product manufacturing technologies related to sensors; High volume, consumer electronics, or sensing experience is a plus.
  • 3D CAD experience (NX preferred).
  • Proficiency in GD&T and tolerance analyses.
  • Application of statistical tools and techniques.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to craft clear engineering documentation.
  • Able to effectively collaborate with diverse team members and external vendors to define and achieve project goals.
  • BS and a minimum of 3 years relevant proven experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with optical module design and packaging.
  • Familiarity with FEA techniques and software packages.
Pay & Benefits
  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $135,400 and $250,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Note: Apple benefit, compensation and employee stock programs are subject to eligibility requirements and other terms of the applicable plan or program.
