This job is responsible for providing operational support for securities, loans, exchange traded derivatives and over the counter derivatives across multiple lines of business through the lifecycle of a trade. Key responsibilities include handling trading and operational activities before deadlines, maintaining internal systems and providing operational support to internal partners. Job expectations include maintaining a high degree of accuracy with customers and data to ensure compliance with regulations and policies.

Responsibilities:

-Responsible for the confirmation and settlement of FX transactions and any subsequent investigation and resolution of exceptions/breaks

-Analysis and ownership of a variety of FX (Foreign Exchange) operational processes in a challenging and fast paced environment, ensuring sustained proficiency and accuracy for all tasks

-Support the regional settlement of Mergers and Acquisition related transactions.

-Communication by phone and email is required whilst providing exceptional customer service to both client and internal service partners.

-Performs set-up and maintenance of core data across client, account, instrument, and agreement data, and oversees data quality within key data platforms

-Ensures transactions are completed in an accurate and timely manner

-Provides operational support for one or more activities within the lifecycle of a trade, including trade processing, trade settlement, accounting and reconciliation, lifecycle events, and collateral management

-Conducts daily monitoring of client trading activity across multiple markets, servicing clients' needs

-Completes accurate, timely clearing and settlement of trades with internal and external counterparties, including reconciliation management and governance of trade fails and breaks

-Identifies and flags potential risks in a timely manner

Required Skills:

At minimum 1 year operations experience or equivalent college degree

• An effective and clear communicator across various levels within the organization with an ability to influence positive outcomes.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage workload through fluctuating volume periods; ability to multi task whilst managing competing priorities and deliveries.

• Self-motivated individual who demonstrates and encourages collaboration within and beyond his/her team.

• Excellent attention to detail and minimal history of errors. Holds self and others accountable for high performance standards.

• Logical approach to problem solving; intellectually curious.

• Continuous learner with a desire to become a subject matter expert within the team.

Desired Skills:

Experience working in a financial institution in an Operations environment supporting OTC and/or FX or other institutionally traded financial products.
