In this role, you’ll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world.​ Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.


Your Role and Responsibilities

As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, buildingning our clients AWS infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability. You will work closely with our development teams to deploy and manage AWS services and resources, and collaborate with our IT team to ensure seamless integratioh our existing infrastructure.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Setup and engineering of the AWS Outpost in the data centers of IT (T-Systems)
  • Setup and automation of Software Defined Network, DNS and load balancing within AWS Outpost
  • Setup and engineering of Openshift and databases (PGO) on AWS Outpost
  • Setup and maintenance of EKS clusters
  • Support in the area of messaging (Solace)
  • Support and consulting for ARTS in the implementation of their Openshift projects

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • Extensive experience AWS-CDK scripting
  • Strong experience in Linux platform engineering
  • Strong experience in Monitoring Prometheus/Grafana
  • Experience in an agile environment (Scrum / Kanban)
  • Basic experience in Kubernetes/Openshift know-how
  • Knowledge of Java and Springboot
  • Completed computer science training
  • Willingness to stand by on nights and weekends
  • Fluent in both English and German (written & spoken)
  • Swiss nationality or valid Swiss work permit / EU passport
