be doing:
Propose, research,prototypeand test innovative research ideas.
Publish groundbreaking work at top conferences and journals.
fellow interns,internal product teams, externalresearchersand be mentored
Contribute to
good useof top-of-the-line NVIDIA GPUs at scale forcutting edgeresearch at the intersection of AI and climate science
What we need to see:
Currently enrolled inatleast the 2nd yearof aPh.D. in the geophysical sciences, computer science, applied math/statistics, or related fields.
Strong research portfolio includingonefirst-author publication thatmakesgood useof AI.
or demonstrable ability to quickly absorbdistributed deep learning training frameworks, e.g.,PyTorch
Strong software engineering skillsare necessary.
xperience in scaling algorithms for high computational loadsis a plus.
Experience developing in a changing software environment and ability to drive research projects end-to-end -- including the messy parts–area plus.
in climate domain science, nonlinear physics, or deep familiarity with associated synthetic and/orobservational datasets and/orphysical simulation systemsare a plus.
Excellent communication skills.
