What to ExpectAs a Software Engineer on the Self-Driving Computer Vision and AI team, you will contribute to one of the most advanced and widely-deployed computer vision stacks in the world. Along with top researchers from academia and some of the most experienced autonomous vehicle engineers in the industry, you will marry cutting-edge deep learning algorithms with robust, real-time software, and deliver safety-critical features to hundreds of thousands of customers. You will develop and support a host of different projects, driven first-and foremost by our mission to deploy the safest and most effective product in the market.
What You’ll Do- Develop state-of-the-art, online and offline state estimation and 3D perception algorithms by fusing information from cameras, IMUs and other sensors
- Design, validate and improve your algorithms against billions of challenging real-world data sequences
- Design and develop automated data generation pipelines that create various types of high quality, unbiased ground truth data for real-world perception problems
- Create robust sensor calibration systems that perform reliably in complex and unpredictable environments
- Collaborate with a team of exceptional individuals laser focused on bringing vehicular autonomy to fruition
What You’ll Bring- Strong mathematical fundamentals including linear algebra, vector calculus, probabilistic theory, and mathematical optimization along with relevant implementation experience
- Ability to write production-level code in modern C++
- Ability to quickly prototype and profile algorithms in Python
- Strong background in computer vision and robotics is a plus; examples include but not limited to, Bayesian estimation (e.g., MAP, MMSE, MLE), classical or neural structure-from-motion, and 3D reconstruction, SLAM, and bundle adjustment
