As part of our team, you’ll have the chance to work on projects that bring innovative solutions to our clients’ challenges locally and worldwide. We have many opportunities for those with an interest in power system planning, renewable energy, power generation and distribution. Under the guidance of professional engineers and other senior technical staff you will provide solutions to some of our clients’ most pressing challenges.

Some of the tasks you can expect to work on in this position are condition assessment of existing systems, feasibility and master plan studies and detailed design and construction oversite for power generation facilities, distribution systems and substations. You will also produce electrical calculations, reports and construction document packages that will be utilized for bidding and construction. Expect to increase your modeling skills while modeling complex power systems to evaluate load flow, short-circuit, and arc-flash hazards and to develop relay protection strategies. Additional design activities will include lightning protection systems and grounding. You will also develop procurement specifications for a broad range of electrical equipment and materials to be installed on construction projects.

Here's what you'll need
  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from ABET accredited program is required.
  • Must have strong analytical, conceptual, technical writing and presentation skills.

Ideally you will also have

  • Previous relevant intern experience is preferred
  • Experience with 3D modeling and viewing software such as AutoCAD, CADWorx, Revit and NavisWorks
  • System modeling experience using SKM Power Tools, ETAP, or similar modeling software
