Strategic Partnerships Manager
(3 day in-office requirement)
Qualifications:
- 3-5+ years of experience in Partnerships, Business Development, Product Management or Strategy
- Experience in top-tier banking, consulting or leading corporation within a partnerships or product management capacity
- An understanding of how to build consumer facing experiences and how to balance business needs with longer term improvements and technical investments
- Experience building and scaling out external partnerships within the financial industry, including scoping technical programs, products and capabilities
- Strong payments knowledge and understanding of payment systems. Deep understanding of how banks and large companies operate to be able to influence various stakeholders both internally and externally.
- Experience working cross-functionally across various business segments, with the ability to motivate and collaborate with external partners and senior leadership around strategy, insights and execution
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to negotiate pricing effectively.
- A metrics-driven mindset, able to analyze and drive decisions through KPIs.

- Ability to explain complex technical concepts in business terms for diverse audiences.

A day in the life and how you’ll make an impact:
- Deeply understand Melio’s position in the ecosystem – Stay informed on industry trends and evolving partner needs while identifying high-potential pipeline opportunities.
- Build cross-functional relationships at partners – Nurture trust-based relationships, providing insights into workflows, payflows, risk & compliance, and go-to-market (GTM) strategies.
- Drive new GP initiatives at existing clients – Develop a deep understanding of partner growth agendas and shape initiatives leveraging Melio’s expanding capabilities.
- Close new deals that align with our agreed framework – Successfully pitch at multiple levels, articulating differentiation in product, UX, and economics while ensuring alignment with finance.
- Collaborate with partners to create compelling pitches tailored to their needs. While delivering the pitches, understand the audience to craft resonating storylines and value propositions.
- Build empathy by understanding partners' KPIs and aligning solutions to their goals.
- Develop comprehensive playbooks to standardize and scale partnership conversations.
- All of this while working with a sense of urgency
