What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead EMC design, testing, debugging, RF certification, and customer support independently.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Architecture, EE, Layout, Mechanical, Thermal, RF, Antenna, Verification, and Operations Engineers. Work with labs to conduct tests and obtain product certifications.
  • Design product architectures for regulatory compliance, including reviewing mechanical designs, schematics, and layout designs. Provide EMC design recommendations.
  • Develop certification plans and prepare certification materials.
  • Conduct pre-tests and troubleshoot any failures.
  • Coordinate and support tests at labs, review data and reports to complete certifications, and assist customers with troubleshooting.
  • Research new technologies and regulatory requirements for emerging products, summarize findings, and present them to the team.

What we need to see:

  • Strong background in EMC design, testing, debugging, and RF certification, with a minimum of 3+ years of experience in EMC (5+ years preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromagnetic Fields, or EMC (Master’s or PhD preferred).
  • Solid understanding of Electronic and Electrical Theory, Electromagnetic Fields, Antenna Theory, and EMC Theory.
  • Familiarity with signal integrity, power integrity, thermal, and mechanical design principles.
  • Experience with EMC design, debugging, and testing.
  • Proficiency in EMC/RF test equipment and platforms (e.g., semi-anechoic chambers, spectrum analyzers, receivers, LISN, ISN), including knowledge of their features and limitations.
  • Familiarity with global EMC/RF regulations and accreditation standards.
  • Experience with EMC simulation software such as Ansys HFSS, Maxwell, CST, etc.

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Proficiency in various RF communication technologies (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Cellular) with extensive experience in RF design and debugging. Familiarity with RF components, small antennas, and antenna arrays is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and prioritize tasks with minimal supervision.
