Your day to day
In your day-to-day role, you will:
- Ensure compliance with Israeli laws and regulations, other applicable regulations, PayPal’s global programs; promote awareness across the organization.
- Design and enhance policies and controls aligned with evolving local and group-level standards.
- Oversee risk and compliance processes, including reporting, issue management, remediation, and incident escalation.
- Maintain the PILPS Financial Crime Compliance policy framework in close coordination with PayPal’s GFCCP department
- Support the First Line of Defense with regulatory advisory and de-risking strategies.
- Monitor risk using PayPal’s taxonomy; develop and implement mitigation plans.
- Maintain the Risk Appetite Framework and test the robustness of internal controls.
- Manage internal/external reviews, regulatory exams, and reporting obligations.
- Prepare executive-ready materials for governance forums and support ISA-mandated reporting.
- Partner cross-functionally with Product, Legal, InfoSec, Risk, and others to ensure compliance across offerings.
What do you need to bring
- Full professional proficiency in Hebrew and strong business English.
- Deep knowledge of Israel’s regulatory environment and hands-on compliance experience in fintech or PSPs.
- Strong advisory capability with a track record of risk identification and pragmatic mitigation.
- Experience working in global, matrixed environments and engaging with senior leadership.
- Proven leadership, project management, and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; able to communicate with C-level stakeholders.
- Comfortable working under pressure and managing multiple priorities in dynamic environments.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office tools.
Preferred Qualification:
- Familiarity with the Israeli fintech vendor ecosystem and relevant certifications is a plus.
