What to Expect

The CommercialEnergy Asset Manager is responsible for the oversight of commercial andoperational deliverables for deployed commercial & industrial (C&I)battery energy storage projects & charging portfolios. This includes thecontinuous evaluation of improved operations, system performance, and sitelevel profitability for the assigned asset.

What You’ll Do
  • Facilitate, incoordination with other internal teams, monitor and challenge the operationalperformance and optimization metrics to achieve project’s highest possibleavailability and gross profit.
  • Work closely withthe onsite operations team to ensure safe and efficient operations of theasset.
  • Manage and resolvelegal, contractual, regulatory, and commercial issues as they arise.
  • Ensure compliancewith all project’s governing documents including Power Purchase Agreements,O&M Agreements, Interconnection Agreements, land leases, etc.
  • Manage day-to-daystakeholder relationships (internally and externally) with local and stateauthorities, regulatory agencies, landowners, end customers, field serviceteams, finance / accounting teams, and other parties needed to operate theasset.
  • Review reoccurringreports on project performance as needed per contractual obligations and drivethe closure of open cases / inquiries across the portfolio.
  • Negotiate contractsrenewals as needed.
  • Monitor andinfluence all maintenance and operations for the assets based on fleet health,organizational priorities, and current fiscal relationship with end customer.
  • Work with internaland external resources to develop strategies that maximize revenue and reducerisk and market exposure of the asset.
  • Agility &ability to manage challenges through rapid growth.
  • Ability to travelboth regionally within the state and interstate when required.
  • Strong commercialskills to manage various complex commercial / contractual matters over thelifecycle of projects.
What You’ll Bring
  • Strongunderstanding of project finance, legal contracts, accounting, andcontract/warranty negotiations.
  • Intimate knowledgeof the energy and renewable energy market, and the ability to stay current withchanging technologies, regulations, and trends influencing the continuedadoption of renewable energy.
  • Commercial mindset,strong prioritization, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Understanding ofintegrated system design and operations. Prior operational experience at solar,wind, thermal, coal, hydro, or nuclear industries a plus.
  • Strong leadershipskills with the ability to inspire people to action through his/her influence.
  • Self-motived withthe ability to work with little supervision.
  • Strong learningskills with aptitude to independently research, understand, and implementknowledge in new areas.
  • Experience withstandard financial metrics and analysis.
  • Background inEngineering, Business, or equivalent industry experience.
  • Strong attention todetail with the ability to effectively multitask managing heavy workload.
