Reports to: Regional Head of People & Culture

Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance & Risk
- Ensure compliance with all relevant Canadian legislation, with support from legal team.
- Track regulatory changes and where relevant update policies, processes, and training (or support these updates across other functions).
Program Strategy & Delivery
- Develop and deliver health, safety, and wellness programs tailored to evolving workforce needs (e.g., hybrid work, psychological safety, mental health, burnout).
- Align programs with SAP’s People Strategy and Global Health & Safety Management Standard.
Governance & Committees
- Lead the Canada Health & Safety Council; run quarterly meetings and drive follow-up actions.
- Support provincial joint health and safety committees where required by law.
Communication & Collaboration
- Drive awareness campaigns that foster a culture of wellbeing.
- Where relevant, facilitate health and safety awareness to employees and managers.
- Collaborate with functions such as Total Rewards and Facilities to embed inclusive wellbeing into the employee journey.
- Act as a trusted advisor and escalation point for H&S concerns.
Budget & Vendor Management
- Manage the health & safety budget and oversee vendors for mental health and safety programming.
Required Skills & Attributes
- Strong self-starter with a track record of resolving complex issues.
- Proven in project/program management to lead from concept to delivery.
- Excellent communicator, able to influence senior leaders and adapt to different audiences.
- Strategic, data-driven thinker who can connect compliance, culture, and outcomes.
- Comfortable shifting between high-level planning and hands-on implementation
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple details at once with prioritization to keep topics moving forward.
Preferred Experience & Knowledge(assets, not requirements)
- Understanding of Canadian health & safety frameworks and legislation.
- Experience in HR, employee experience, or workplace operations.
- Comfortable working with senior stakeholders and running councils or committees.
- Familiarity with mental health strategies and inclusive wellness.
- Budgeting and vendor management experience.

Occasional travel required
