The European EHS (Environment, Health and Safety) Regional Manager position plays a key role in advancing the company's EHS culture and compliance. Responsibilities include setting EHS goals, providing training, conducting inspections, and supporting global sustainability projects. Expertise in this role is essential for driving continuous improvement and ensuring the health and safety of the workplace and compliance with relevant EHS regulations. This position reports to the Corporate Head of EHS and Sustainability and requires close collaboration with Regional Operations and HR leadership.

Your responsibilities will be to:

  • Defining EHS Goals and Objectives (Ensure alignment with Global EHS target commitments)

  • Training and Education - Conduct training sessions for employees on EHS policies, best practices, and new protocols. Assure new EHS employees are trained in the JE EHS requirements

  • Inspection and Hazard Identification - Conduct regular inspections and identify potential hazards

  • Developing Safety Programs - Work with the Global EHS team to revise, create, and implement EHS programs and policies

  • Monitoring and Compliance - Ensure adherence to all EHS guidelines and regulations

  • Incident Management - Coordinate with each site to investigate safety incidents, particularly Lost Time Accidents (LTAs), and implement corrective and preventive actions, sharing lessons learned across locations

  • Regional Site Support - Assist with corporate EHS and support the sites in the region (Serbia, Poland, Italy, Switzerland, Turkey, France, Germany, Hungary, etc.)

  • Global Project Involvement

Our requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering, safety management, or a related field along with relevant EHS certifications

  • At least five years of experience as a site EHS coordinator or manager

  • Relevant experience within the automotive industry would be an asset

  • Fluency in English is a must; additional languages are considered an advantage

  • Results-driven individual, teamwork and proactive attitude for seeking innovative solutions

  • Experience in coordinating teams in different sites and countries would be an asset

  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
