Global Compliance and Reporting – GDS Global Services (CMO Controller - Manager)

Global Operations is made of four pillars –

  • Delivery Management.
  • Commercial Management.
  • Implementation Management.
  • Technology & Data Management.

The CMO Manager will be part of the commercial management team. She/He will be aligned to one of our high-profile engagements and managing contract from a commercial, financial and engagement perspective and will assist the engagement leadership/stakeholders to deliver the deal finances and contractual requirements for the deal. You should be commercially minded and have finance and engagement management experience. It is equally important that you can coach and develop junior members of the CMO team.

Key responsibilities:

  • Displays deep understanding of the contract commercial business case.
  • Single point of contact on Commercials for Client/Engagement Partner/Tax Account Lead and Tax Leadership.
  • Drive and activate contract commercial clauses, providing early visibility of non-compliance.
  • Build visibility of global engagement financials & drive commercial governance with Tax Leadership, Engagement Partner, Delivery lead etc.
  • Report financial variances to plan, supported by root-cause analysis and recommend how to manage risks/ realise opportunities.
  • Support renewal of contracts.
  • Lead and deploy trained Commercial Operations team, in compliance with Global Operations standards and QRM requirements.
  • Review deliverables of Commercial Operations (Internal Contracting, Change Requests Scope & Fee, Estimate to Complete, Billings, Reporting, Pricing plans etc.

To qualify for the role, you must have/be:

  • Able to build relationships with the Leadership team and ability to influence key stakeholders.
  • Self-assured and can bring fresh insight to business problems.
  • Proactive self-starter who demonstrates business acumen through understanding and prioritising business challenges.
  • Able to shape new solutions, implement best practise and processes to optimise the deal’s financial performance.
  • Proven track record of creating and maintaining robust financial and operational models, demonstrating your proficiency in data analysis and presentation.
  • Experience of managing budgeting and forecasting process from start to finish.
  • Experience of managing month-end reporting with variance analysis while ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all financial deliverables.
  • Experience of ownership of cashflow reporting and management.
  • Proficient in managing projects with complex billing structures and interdependencies.
  • As a minimum, understanding of P&L concept and its different elements.
  • Robust understanding of financial and commercial drivers and interdependencies.
  • Flexible to meet changing needs.
  • Desire to share knowledge and enhance the skills of less experienced team members.

Desired experiences:

  • Project Management Skills to deliver positive outcomes in short timelines.
  • Education: bachelor’s degree in finance/Accounting/Commerce/Tax and master’s in business administration.
  • Team handling skills. Managed a team size of 2-3 people at least.
  • 10-15 Years of overall experience.
