Key job responsibilities
* Manage and grow the AI Security Applied Science Team with a broad range of AI expertise from Machine Learning, Generative AI, to Automated Reasoning
* Define science strategy and roadmap, and drive effective execution
* Research and develop accurate and scalable methods to solve our hardest AI security problems
* Partner with software engineers and security engineers to drive modeling and technical design for complex problems, and build security tooling and paved path solutions that support builder teams throughout their software development journey
* Collaborate with internal partners and external researchers to develop innovative approaches

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

* PhD or MS degree in Engineering, Technology, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Mathematics or related quantitative experience of applied research.
* 3+ years of experience researching & developing algorithms or building AI models to meet large scale business needs
* 5+ years of experience managing applied science teams


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

* Experience translating business needs into technical requirements
* Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences
* Strong problem-solving ability and the ability to work in ambiguous and constantly evolving environment
* Experience with Machine Learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, Spark MLlib, MXNet, etc.
* Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language
* Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AIPursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.
