As a Senior Consultant, you will play a critical leadership role in all of the firm's work. EY-Parthenon has a very flat structure which will allow you to become actively involved in many levels of client work. You will often be the primary contact for clients, responsible for developing and executing work plans, and managing associates. Given the demands of such an accelerated role, your skills as a consultant are highly tuned in the areas of analytics, communications, teamwork, and leadership.

Internally, you will have leadership responsibilities in areas like recruiting, training, professional development, etc. In addition, you typically will get involved in key strategic initiatives such as the establishment of new practice areas and the generation of proprietary intellectual capital.

The Work

Our current work is typically focused on applying our deep sector & strategy knowledge to various types of strategic projects, including:

  • Disease area strategy
  • Product and business unit strategy development
  • Market access & pricing strategy
  • Market entry strategy and opportunity sizing
  • Medical affairs strategy
  • Commercial due diligence
  • Business development and licencing

You'll work with a high-performing, integrated team which focuses on a variety of global and local corporate clients and private equity clients. You'll have a diverse range of stretching experiences which will give you continuous learning and development opportunities as well as a great sense of achievement.

You Key Responsibilities

You will lead your teams in:

  • Independently performing primary and secondary research including data gathering, interviews, and surveys
  • Planning and developing analytics, both qualitative and quantitative
  • Developing ‘the story’ – the output to narrate the solution to the client’s problem – including written output (slides)
  • Managing relationships with client stakeholders
  • Fostering an inclusive culture throughout the team and within engagements
  • Developing a community within the team – volunteering to support to develop an offer, or other internal practice build initiatives such as Learning, Operations, Resourcing, Recruitment, etc.
  • Counselling Associate Consultants to provide career direction and guidance

Skills and attributes for success

Experience in Biopharmaceuticals - ideally gained from another consulting environment and/or a Global Pharmaceutical and Med Tech organisation

  • Experience in working in one, ideally two or more, of the core commercials areas: Commercial Strategy; Pricing, Reimbursement and Market Access Strategy; Digital Therapeutics; RWE and Innovative Contracting.
  • Experience in conducting primary market research with healthcare practitioners, payers, and patients
  • Comfort in a strategic consulting role and experience with a client-facing position in an agency/consulting environment, including leading client workshops and developing and delivering strategic and tactical recommendations
  • Experience working in global multidisciplinary teams and across regions/countries

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Preferably hold a PhD (preferred but not mandatory), MBA, Master in Health Economics, Health Policy and/or Pharmaceutical Sciences
  • Ability to write to a high standard, fluent/native in English with additional major languages desired
  • Experience working in key therapeutic areas such as oncology, immunology, neurology, cardiovascular diseases etc.
