Role and Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain typical compiler backend pipeline optimizers, and code generation components.

  • Develop and optimize code generation and transformation techniques to improve performance and efficiency

  • Collaborate with hardware architects and software developers to define and implement compiler optimizations for new hardware architectures.

  • Perform thorough testing and validation of compiler features and optimizations.

  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in generated code, using various workloads

  • Stay up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in compiler technology and apply them to our products.

  • Mentor and guide junior team members, providing technical leadership and expertise.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum qualifications and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or a related field

5+ years of technical experience with the following:

  • Experience in compiler backend design and implementation

  • Application of compiler concepts and techniques with experience in LLVM, GCC, or other compiler frameworks

  • Experience in C/C++, and object oriented programming

  • Experience in creating and characterizing performance using micro- and macro-benchmarks


Preferred qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (Master's or PhD in relevant fields of study) with 2+ years of hands-on experience

  • Contributions to open-source compiler projects

  • Knowledge of x86 Instruction Set Architecture and advanced CPU features such as AVX, AMX etc

  • Knowledge of Operating system internals, driver development, scheduling, cache, register allocation etc.

  • Knowledge of computer architecture, operating system and performance engineering

Experience would be obtained through a combination of prior education level classes, and current level school classes, projects, research, and relevant previous job and/or internship
