Technical Lead in Cloud Architecture -Senior 1/2

EY GDS Consulting digital engineering, is seeking experienced Cloud Architect looking for Technical Lead in Cloud Architecture. You will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of cloud infrastructure solutions on Azure and AWS platforms. Your responsibilities will include conducting assessments, developing strategies for resource allocation and workload optimization, and ensuring compliance and security in cloud environments. Strong leadership skills, expertise in Azure/AWS, and a deep understanding of cloud architecture are essential for this role.

Your key responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable, reliable, and secure cloud architectures on Azure and AWS platforms.
• Define and implement cloud best practices, standards, and guidelines for the development team.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the development team, ensuring high-quality deliverables and adherence to project timelines.
• Evaluate and recommend emerging cloud technologies and tools to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Conduct regular code reviews, performance analysis, and optimization of cloud-based applications.
• Ensure compliance with security standards, data privacy regulations, and industry best practices in cloud architecture.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives, process enhancements, and knowledge sharing within the team.

Soft Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 6-8 years of hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and managing cloud architectures, with expertise in Azure and AWS.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Proven leadership abilities, including mentorship, team building, and conflict resolution.
• Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and stay updated with industry trends.
• Strategic thinking and the ability to align technical solutions with business goals.
• Strong project management skills, including planning, execution, and risk management.

To qualify for the role, you must have

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 6-8 years of hands-on experience in cloud architecture, with expertise in Azure and AWS.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to learning and development are essential for success in this role. Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Scientist Associate, or equivalent, are highly desirable.
• Experience with other cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud Platform) and additional programming languages (e.g., R, Java) is a plus.

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Experience in implementing DevOps practices and tools for automated deployment, testing, and monitoring of cloud applications.
• Familiarity with other cloud platforms and technologies such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Kubernetes, Docker, etc.
• Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or equivalent, are desirable.
• Demonstrated experience in leading and delivering complex cloud projects from inception to completion.
