Your key responsibilities

As an ILMS Senior, you will support multiple and challenging US employment-based immigration engagements and contribute to the delivery of solutions and ideas for our diverse institutional clients.

Client contact/communication:

  • Working with clients to obtain information to assist in drafting applications
  • Communicate case status, milestones achieved, and next steps to client throughout the entire lifecycle of the case
  • Follow-up with clients to obtain copies of visas/documents
  • Notify clients of upcoming extensions

Communicate with other engagement professionals and support staff:

  • Ensure that attorneys are advised of legal client-related issues
  • Participate in meetings of the professional staff of EY US
  • Confer with attorney regarding legal questions or concerns raised by the client and then relate information back to the client as appropriate
  • Draft emails in response to case process and logistics queries by clients
  • Delegate appropriate work to support staff, including document scanning/photocopying and package mailing

Case management:

  • Collect information from clients as needed for case processing
  • Generate client assessment forms and immigration case-related forms and letters for attorney review
  • Draft and subsequently revise and update draft forms and letters at the direction and supervision of attorneys
  • Monitor case progression to ensure service levels are being met
  • Monitor immigration petitions filed with government agencies for receipt, approval, and/or requests for additional information
  • Track and monitor immigration documents for expiration, including reviewing expiration reports as needed

Professional Development:

  • May be required to attend seminars and professional development courses that are relevant to his/her area of specialty

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field; Preference for degrees in immigration studies, law, business, communications, public administration, technology, analytics, finance
  • Minimum 4 years of US Employment-based immigration experience
  • Must be highly organized and an effective communicator
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Strong attention to detail

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $63,500 to $129,700. The base salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $76,300 to $147,500. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options.
