As a Senior Consultant, you will assist clients in controlling costs and managing risks associated with HR plans, programs, and systems. You will measure, control, reduce, and reallocate HR costs. Assess operations to deliver process improvement. You will have the opportunity to gain excellent personal and professional growth and meaningful exposure to our business as an integral member of our client services team.

Your key responsibilities

You will work on multiple reward projects delivering quality design, risk, tax and accounting technical client services and providing flexible and innovative compensation reward solutions. You will also be expected to have excellent communication skills and rapidly establish relationships both internally and with our clients.

Skills and attributes for success

  • Possess tax technical experience particularly in compensation programs including equity and other incentive programs, deferred compensation and other relevant compensation technical matters.
  • Possess accounting and proxy / shareholder knowledge around compensation programs for executives and to think about risk and compensation programs
  • Global compensation and executive benefits experience to be able to assess the financial implications of HR transactions for clients
  • Experience/knowledge of 409A and 280G
  • Collaborate with actuaries, plan administrators, compensation, and transaction professionals
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented and strong business-writing skills
  • Bring your compensation knowledge and technical skills to broader transformation and transaction projects
  • Perform IRS and ERISA research for executive compensation and executive benefit issues including in support of our tax provisions
  • Track goals, action items and budgets using project management tools and methodologies
  • Implement techniques to improve productivity, increase efficiency, and mitigate risk

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field with 2-3+ years of experience in tax and employee benefits law or consulting
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong analytical business acumen
  • Ability to meet deadlines and adapt to changing requirements
  • Willingness to travel as needed, and working in a balanced hybrid environment

Ideally you will have:

  • CPA, JD, or Enrolled Agent credential
  • Project management experience, planning, budget management, and reporting

What we offer
We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $99,600 to $164,300. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $119,600 to $186,700. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year.
