Your impact

We are currently looking for a Scheduling and Planning Manager for our Asia Pacific Energy and Power Team. You will manage project controls resources and activities, along with providing direction and support for project controls execution. You’ll be key in coordinating with our project delivery and technical staff to effectively and efficiently deliver project controls services that support business group operations and projects. We’ll lean on you to evaluate performance and manage project controls resources accordingly. You’ll be responsible to collaborate, develop and maintain solid relationships across multifunctional teams.

Other Services Accountabilities

As a Scheduling and Planning Manager, you will lead the project controls team, working closely with our Global Design Centres, Project Managers and Finance Manager to develop new methods of working, presenting a consistent, standardised, automated reporting & analysis on our projects, aligned to our Global Business Unit.

You will be responsible for:

  • Assigning Project Control resources to projects to provides support for internal needs, project delivery and client facing roles
  • Integrated Project Control System champion. Help support and maintain controls of Integrated Project Control System.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to project controls staff to support professional growth.
  • Provide guidance to project controls staff to ensure adherence to policies.
  • Create and maintain client-based relationships.
  • Manage complex project budgets using a standard work breakdown structure.
  • Generate cash flow projections and analyse same against available sources of funds.
  • Perform comparative reviews of project schedules and budgets to identify any misalignment.
  • Lead detailed cost-to-complete studies for projects at regular intervals.
  • Assist in the development, maintenance, and reporting of various program metrics.
  • Process, analyse, and present data in an easily digestible format.
  • Work with colleagues to formulate and document policies and procedures, especially for new processes and initiatives.
Here's what you'll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management and construction management or a related field, Advance degrees or certifications (e.g., PMP) are preferred.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project scheduling, preferably in the power plant or energy sector.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex project schedules.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project)
  • Travel to different project sites may be required.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
