Responsibilities include maintaining all aspects of the Design Support Lab, supports spaces and equipment resources, including hardware and SW tools, update all lab infrastructure, equipment, and hardware configurations. Ensure availability of build, rework, and test equipment and parts. Understanding use cases, device/system troubleshooting skills down to the component level. Ability to perform various activities including prototyping, rework, soldering, harnessing. In this role you will be able to:
-Administrate and oversee the daily operations and develop the content and strategy for the Lab
-Manage work queues within PA and with outside suppliers
-Work with multiple engineering teams
-Order supplies
-Attend meetings to develop actionable items-Manage calibration of test equipment
-Perform PCBA troubleshooting, modification, rework
-Conduct Testing, provisioning, flashing/programming
-Perform Wire Harness assembly, modification, repair, and rework
-Perform Prototype assembly, modification, repair, and rework
-Assist in creation of Technical Documentation, Work Instructions, Lab/Test proposals and plansExport Controls License
- BS in Computer Science or STEM, or equivalent professional experience
- A minimum of 5 years industry experience in a engineering lab environment
- Demonstrated leaderships skills, independent, self-initiative and pro-active approach
- Experience in coordinating hardware development projects
- Good knowledge of lab techniques and equipment
- Experienced with engineering labs safety practices supervising others in a hardware lab environment
-Familiarity with the following standards:
-IPC-7711/7721 (Rework, Repair & Modification or Printed Circuit Boards & Electronics Assemblies)
-IPC J-Standard (Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Electronic Assemblies)
-IPC/WHMA-A-620 (Cable & Wire Harness Assembly)
-A background in large-scale lab management
-Experience in Leading teams
