DESCRIPTION

Key job responsibilities
As a senior Interdisciplinary System Engineer, you will define, develop, test, and deliver solutions for Prime Air's Drone Electric Propulsion Subsystem.
•Break down and frame problems using con-ops, use cases, structural/functional decomposition, and other system representations to clarify needs and align technical teams
•Drive and prioritize execution of system test campaigns that span lab and field-testing environments in collaboration with subsystem development and test teams (test readiness reviews, test execution, post-test analysis and reporting)
•Develop and communicate system integration and evaluation strategies and plans in support of program learning, technical risk reduction, verification, and validation
•Perform technical risk assessments (such as PSSA, FHA, FMEA, etc.), devise mitigation plans, and create system test strategies
•Propose changes to the system architecture and allocations across multiple sub-systems and components that improve system performance and robustness
•Coordinate with other subsystems and design engineers on systems goals and constraints in relation to physical, interfaces, compliance, data management, and risk management
•Generation artifacts for design reviews, validation, verification and certification (FAA & EASA).
•Conduct trade studies and cross-functional trade-offs with other groups within the following dimensions: performance, schedule, cost, risk, opportunity, complexity, and scale.
•Build quantitative models and analyses (Excel, MATLAB, Python, internal tools such as Jira and confluence) to conduct trade studies, refine requirements, and understand key system drivers across the integrated systems of systems
