What you'll do:


This position necessitates active engagement, alignment, and collaboration with the industry sales executives. The role is based in Vienna and will report directly to the Head of Sales for BTP Central and Eastern Europe.

  • Generate demand, manage pipeline, and close opportunities.
  • Develop opportunity plans containing compelling solution value propositions.
  • Conduct White Space analysis to identify growth opportunities.
  • Work with the broader account team on sales campaigns.
  • Manage customer relationships at the solution area/buying center level.
  • Progress opportunities for move to cloud/expand footprint accounts or accounts that are new to the solution area.
  • Utilize deep knowledge of how companies operate, business models, strategies, and end-to-end business processes.
  • Stay informed about SAP’s competition and value drivers.
  • Leverage SAP’s comprehensive team of experts and industry knowledge to address customer needs effectively.
  • Build customer participation in relevant SAP communities, programs, and events.
  • Facilitate collaboration with the partner ecosystem.

What you bring:

  • Demonstrated success in sales of Cloud Business Application software solutions, consistently surpassing established quotas.
  • A minimum of 6+ years of experience selling business software ( Analytics, Data Management, and Data Warehousing ) and IT solutions/projects.
  • An advantage is a broad understanding of the SAP solution portfolio and the business processes it enables to drive customer value conversations.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills in German and English enable effective networking within a client’s organization and facilitate access to key decision-makers.
  • Alignment with product/solution management teams and marketing organizations is a plus.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing substantial transactions and navigating complex sales endeavors, underpinned by a comprehensive understanding of the financial landscape, competitive dynamics, and regulatory framework.
  • Proven contractual and negotiation skills with experience driving renewals, expansions, and upsells of subscription or perpetual license-based SW solutions.
