Essential Responsibilities:
- Delivers complete solutions spanning all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) (design, implementation, testing, delivery and operations), based on definitions from more senior roles.
- Advises immediate management on project-level issues
- Guides junior engineers
- Operates with little day-to-day supervision, making technical decisions based on knowledge of internal conventions and industry best practices
- Applies knowledge of technical best practices in making decisions
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience and a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in software or data engineering, with a focus on reporting, analytics, or large-scale data processing.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational and big data systems (e.g., BigQuery, Snowflake, Hadoop, Hive).
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, or Scala.
- Hands-on experience with ETL/EDW pipeline development and data warehousing.
- Familiarity with BI/reporting tools (e.g., Looker, Power BI, Tableau) and data APIs.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in financial services, fintech, or payment platforms.
- Knowledge ofpayout/reconciliationprocesses and merchant reporting needs.
- Familiarity with distributed systems and stream processing (e.g., Kafka, Spark).
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work across cross-functional teams.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
