AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector.We are seeking an experienced Data Analytics Engineer to drive deep insights and continuous improvement using large troves of data. The Candidate should have detailed understanding of a business requirements or the ability to quickly get to the root cause of a particular business issue, and draft solutions to meet requirements or resolve the root problems, identify opportunities and communicate the findings to internal stakeholders. An ideal candidate is one who enjoys discovering and solving complicated problems, can quickly learn complex systems, likes to work with numbers, and takes pride in organizing and communicating their work. We are looking for a creative thinker with deep analytics experience who knows how to execute and deliver from concept. Ability and enthusiasm to be a change agent on a team operating in a highly ambiguous environment is required.Key job responsibilities
-Analyze and extract relevant information from large amounts of both structured and unstructured data to help automate and optimize key processes
-Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into a digestible and actionable format
-Write concise documents communicating results to stakeholders and visualize data to drive decision making

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Operations Research, Mathematics or Finance
- 5+ years’ experience in leading data analytics projects and bring in actionable insights; 5+ years proven professional experience working with large data sets and writing complex SQL queries to pull data.
- Experience in Excel (Pivot Tables, array functions, Power Pivots, etc.) ; Expertise working with Tableau/QuickSight or other visualization platforms
- Proficient in Python & exposure to AI/ML models
- Exposure to Data Governance & Data Management Systems

- Advanced technical or business degree (MS, Masters in Information Science or MBA)
- Effective verbal and written communications skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with multiple teams and external organizations
- Experience in JavaScript and/or R
- Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
