What you'll do...

As a

The Supply Chain Engineering team you’ll be joining is responsible for business-critical software platforms used to get products from suppliers to our clubs and members. What you'll do:

  • Lead and Mentor: Oversee a team of talented engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and career development opportunities.
  • Technical Leadership: Drive the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge solutions for Supply Chain products. This includes:
    • Developing new features on warehouse management and related systems to support operations in our distribution centers
    • Ensuring optimal code quality to contribute to efficient and uninterrupted business operations
    • Optimize observability to ensure health of Supply Chain systems
    • Enhancing system performance, scalability and availability
  • Member and Associate Focus: Prioritize associate and member experience
  • Innovation: Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (product management, engineering, etc) to achieve shared goals.
  • Technical Expertise: Stay abreast of the latest technologies and industry best practices in delivering cloud-native solutions within the Supply Chain domain.


What you'll bring:

Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineering Manager or a similar leadership role.

Strong technical expertise in relevant areas, including:

  • Object oriented backend development experience using Java
  • Knowledge of or experience in developing frontend web and mobile applications using JavaScript, React and Kotlin
  • Cloud computing platforms (Azure, GCP), Kubernetes
  • Messaging software including Kafka
  • Relational and NoSQL database management systems
  • Microservices architecture
  • Event-driven design and development
  • Object oriented analysis and design
  • Enterprise integration patterns
  • Agile development methodologies

Strong leadership skills including:

  • Provide leadership and guidance to software engineering teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation within the software engineering domain, leveraging the latest technologies and methodologies.
  • Mentor and guide team members, helping them grow and develop their technical and professional skills.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and senior leadership to ensure alignment and effective communication of project goals and progress.
  • Oversee project timelines, deliverables, and resource allocation to ensure successful project completion.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Passion for customer experience and a strong drive to exceed expectations.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 5 years’ experience in software engineering or related area. Option 2: 7 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
