• A first point of contact for employees & managers who provides leadership, coaching and support for individual employee needs & HR processes. For use in businesses that are operating in the HR Partnership Model.
• Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a discipline and analytical thinking to execute policy/strategy. Basic knowledge of related job disciplines.
• Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead projects with low risks and resource requirements. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.
• Jobs at this level function with some autonomy but are subject to functional practices and precedents or are covered by well-defined policies or review of end results. The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness etc.).
• Uses some judgment and has the ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated, day-to-day problems. Has ability to prioritize information for data analysis. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Execute ongoing organizational change across the business and support change management initiatives.

  • Utilize employment law knowledge to meet business needs and ensure consistent, fair and accurate application

  • Provide coaching and advice on employee relations issues to people leaders, influencing and intervening when appropriate to ensure fairness and consistency.

  • Manage complex employee relations casework when required, including dispute resolutions, disciplinaries, grievances, absence, retirement and redundancy.

  • Creating employee engagement initiatives in line with the wider GE HealthCare business.

  • Ensure any learning and development requirements are identified and fed into the Talent function

  • Using HR information systems to gather people data and insights that in turn lead to the development and execution of people strategies and plans.

  • Support Talent Acquisition in recruitment where appropriate.

  • Ensure effective onboarding of new hires and internal promotions.

  • Provide advice to managers and associates for the annual Performance Management and Talent Management processes

  • Build and maintain effective relationships with wider HR team, local/regional/global stakeholders.

  • Champion DE&I, colleague resource groups and wellbeing activities

  • Undertake HR projects as needed

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college

  • Minimum of 5 years professional work in the Human Resources function with client-facing responsibilities including employee/people leader development and performance management.

Desired Characteristics
  • Ability and willingness to work onsite in Chicago office in a hybrid schedule, or remotely from Wisconsin or Illinois if not able to work on a hybrid schedule.

  • Experience working with Workday.

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office

  • Passionate employee advocate who wants to make a difference in the organization by helping People Leaders succeed

  • Experience working in an HR Shared Services Model

  • Strong customer service focus, with a high level of responsiveness

  • Works collaboratively; excels in a matrixed work environment, contributes constructively to team performance

  • Strong interest in innovative HR solutions and process improvement. Performs with a Lean mindset
