Key job responsibilities
Lead the design, implementation and testing of major features on the Wickr Desktop application, while ensuring high quality software deliverables.- Build and deliver complex multi-tier software applications and tools
- Break down complex problems into simple, manageable solutions
- Estimate engineering effort, plan implementation, and manage system changes that meet requirements for functionality, performance, scalability and reliabilityLeadership responsibilities include:
- Mentor other engineers on the team
- Show good judgment in architectural decisions

- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team
- Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- 5+ years of C++ programming experience including object-oriented design experience.
- Must demonstrate expertise in cross-platform (Windows, Linux,macOS) C++ development, with ability to work on core frameworks and applications across multiple operating systems.
- Should be proficient in using platform-specific SDKs and development tools like Boost or QT Framework.
- The role requires working with CMake / QMake build systems to manage common configurations across different platforms.
