What you`ll do:

• We are looking for an ML/DevOps Engineer to help us develop the most innovative products in the area of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the domain of process management and process mining. As an ML/DevOps Engineer you will be responsible to build and operate the environments for our Cloud AI Services and ensure the delivery according to defined Service Level Agreements. Ensure smooth operations and maximize uptime and performance of Cloud software. Core tasks include:
• Independent assurance of effective system operations along the software lifecycle (from planning to implementation)
• Collaboration with engineering and product management as well as other service groups to ensure usage information (such as incidents, problems...) is considered in new products/releases
• Definition of operations model/operational processes and procedures
• Accountability
• Work closely with our engineering and operations team in Signavio to build, integrate, test and deploy our AI Services into our Signavio products.
• Develop, test and maintain build system, CI/CD framework and deployment tools
• Develop and maintain a monitoring system that overlooks our build and productive landscape
• Lead efforts in automation, continuous deployment, build, and configuration management
• Assess new technology projects and tools or migrate our environment to new versions to keep up with the rapid pace of change.
• Some on-call support is required during deployment time.
• Works on complex technical projects or business issues requiring strong technical knowledge and an affinity for AI. This will entail quality assurance and automated testing for non-deterministic, AI-based applications. In particular, you will collaborate with different teams on integrating novel convepts for testing AI-based apllications into our pipelines.
• Building our AI services we integrate the most modern and cutting edge LLM engines in the market to make recommendations on which action to take to improve live processes. Our future AI services will go far beyond LLM and cover the whole spectrum of novel AI technologies.

Preferred qualifications and skills:· Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, or a comparable field
· 6+ years of relevant DevOps work experience with web applications
· Full stack development experience
· Experience in CI/CD best practices, automation environments, IaC (Infrastructure as Code) concepts, developing and managing complex build pipelines using tools like Spinnaker, Jenkins, Terraform, Packer, Vault etc.
· Monitoring and logging with Grafana, Elastic stack or equivalent
· Very strong experience in writing software in languages such Python and Java. Experience with FastAPI, and Django are a plus
· Experience with AWS and containerization technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, docker-compose in a production environment.
· Experience maintaining applications in virtualized environments
· Experience with vector databases, Postgres and HANA are a plus.
· Able to quickly research new concepts or technologies and effectively put them in practice
· Fluent in spoken & written English, German is a plus
· Ability to work well in a team as well as independently and have a positive, self-motivated, enthusiastic can-do attitude
